My name is Annette Perez, and I am the creative mind behind the scenes at Elegant Wrist Candy.

I have been an Accountant all my life, but my dream has always been to create beautiful things to bring happiness to others.  At first, I thought silk floral arranging was what I wanted to do.  While I enjoyed making wreaths, centerpieces, and other floral crafts, something was missing.  It was in 2011 that I finally found the niche for which I was looking.  It all started with a bracelet that I received as a Christmas gift the year before.  I went to a bead shop to find out the supplies I needed to create something similar.  The rest, as they say, is history.

I started off making bracelets in the likeness of the gift that I’d received.  Soon, I developed a pattern of my own, a signature if you will.  While I may stray at times, each design follows my pattern, and is named.  The names are either something that pops into my head at the time I’m making a bracelet, or it ties back to one of the materials used in the design.

So…I’m making all these bracelets, and posting pictures on social media.  One day, my friend says, “You need a website to sell your designs”.  I was thinking “yeah, right…who’s going to buy these”.  Much to my surprise, a LOT of people wanted to buy!  This website is version three.  It is completely redesigned from the first, and even the last.

I have participated in local craft shows by having my own booth.  I have also donated my designs for silent auctions that benefit children’s education, and animal rescue.

I am originally from Pennsylvania, and am a mixture of nationalities that were common to the area.   I currently reside in the sunny State of Florida with my furry kids.
